"REGRESSION" by KIMUTAI KEMBOI ALLAN

And the remnants are here
Sans sticks
No tufts of grass in their mouths
Sapiens of a past eon
They are chatting away easily
On fragile smartphones
Afraid of calls
And we are jettisoned to the past.
The world walked forward in agile steps
We are now running back to barbarism
In fast steps
Brother eating into brother
The industrialists smoking our planet
And the news is a political reel
We are chasing immigrants out!
